Creating Your At-Home Sanctuary: A Spa-Inspired Bath Reveal
Your primary bathroom should be more than just a place to get ready in the morning, it should be a private retreat where you can unwind at the end of a long day.
At Preferred Construction Group, we love helping homeowners transform outdated spaces into luxurious, spa-inspired sanctuaries. We recently completed a beautiful primary bathroom remodel that perfectly captures this trending aesthetic.
Here is a look at the design details that brought this calming space to life.
The Focal Point of Spa-Inspired Bath: A Freestanding Soaking Tub
Nothing says "spa day" quite like a freestanding tub. By placing the crisp, white soaking tub against large-format, marble-look wall tiles, the bathing area immediately becomes an elegant focal point. This setup not only looks stunning but also creates a dedicated zone purely for relaxation. We paired it with sleek, brushed nickel fixtures to keep the aesthetic clean and modern.
Dynamic Tile Pairings
To keep the neutral color palette from feeling flat, we incorporated a beautiful, geometric patterned tile across the shower and tub floor. This bold design grounds the space and adds a layer of visual interest that contrasts beautifully with the soft, flowing veining of the wall tiles and the sleek white main flooring. The built-in shower niche utilizes this same patterned tile, tying the whole wet-room area together seamlessly.
Warm Woods and Modern Arches
A true spa-inspired room needs warmth so it does not feel clinical or cold. We achieved this by installing a spacious double vanity with a rich, natural wood finish and classic dark hardware. The crisp, white countertop keeps things looking fresh, while the dual arched, black-framed mirrors add a soft, modern touch that breaks up the straight lines of the cabinetry.
Layered Lighting
Good lighting is essential in any bathroom. Natural light flows in beautifully through the window, while the Edison-style glass vanity fixtures provide a warm, flattering glow perfect for morning routines.
